I tried to use bedrock skin with transparency in 1st layer and it turned black in java edition
What I expected to happen was...:
Skin rendering logic to work like in bedrock edition, 1st layer of skin can have transparent pixels.
What actually happened was...:
Transparent pixels in 1st layer of skin turned black.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Upload skin with transparent pixels on 1st layer and apply it.
2. Inspect skin in game.
Thanks for the report! This is a duplicate of MC-49294, and will be resolved as such. Past reports are indicating that only semi-transparency is allowed in a skin in Java Edition.
Also, note that the following are criteria for bugs reported as parity issues – if you're reporting a discrepancy between Bedrock and Java, these criteria need to be met:
The feature affected by the parity issue is present in both Bedrock Edition and Java Edition in the latest release or development version
The feature behaves differently in one edition than in the other
The parity issue was introduced in Buzzy Bees (Bedrock Edition 1.14 / Java Edition 1.15) or later and was not present before
