Cherry blossoms are blooming while they have leaves

First, I'm really happy to see the long-awaited cherry blossoms in Minecraft! Thank you so much!

However, in 23w07a they have leaves while they are blooming. Japanese cherry blossoms, especially the most popular one for appreciation (Prunus × yedoensis 'Somei-yoshino'), bloom in spring before they make leaves. It is one of the reasons why they are beautiful, and I feel the texture is wrong in that they have leaves while they are in bloom.
