On both modified and unmodified (as in the normal regular launcher) launchers for Minecraft, I seem to get this freeze on the client, usually after around 20 to 40 seconds or so, and the freeze doesn't go away after waiting a while either. This is also only a recent issue I've encountered, had it for maybe two weeks or so now, previously I had been able to play all Minecraft versions but now I can't for some reason. I've tried searching for any technical solutions on the presumption that this is a technical bug, but I haven't found anything that helps yet, so I'm presuming this is a bug within Minecraft's code itself (or maybe even Java's code, which is the worst case scenario). I know it affects versions 1.18.2, 1.19.1, 1.19.2, 1.19.3, but not versions 1.17, 1.16.5 and presumably others below version 1.18. I have also tried stuff to do with audio configuration but it didn't fix the issue. I've attached both a log file and a recording of the issue.

Finally found a solution that fixed this problem for me, so I'll be posting it here in case anyone else ever encounters this issue
Go into your computer's console and enter the following:
echo drivers=pulse,alsa >> ~/.alsoftrc
Then reboot your computer, and it should be fixed. Credit for this goes towards https://www.reddit.com/r/linuxquestions/comments/v2knij/minecraft_openal_failure_failed_to_get_openal/ (u/dinnerbird)
Still don't quite understand what was causing the issue though, presumably something to do with OpenAL or audio drivers.
Thank you for your report!
