When relocating Bee hives, they do not retain the bees that are inside of them, the other NBT data like honey_level is retained. Additionally, Bee nests do retain their bees.
To replicate:
Place a Bee Hive near a Bee, allow the Bee to fly inside
Break the Hive with Silk Touch and place it down
The bee should be gone.
Frustrating because I had a massive bee farm that I was moving, and all my bees are gone.
