The middle mouse button (holding down the scroll wheel) scrolls your hotbar as well as picking a block. This was not something that happened before/during 1.20.1 and is not an issue with my mouse BUT it might be mouse specific because testing it with a few other mice it only happened using certain ones. I also tried messing with keybinds but it only happens in Minecraft, not in any other games or applications.

I have tried turning off the Logitech software entirely, and have tried disabling my middle mouse button using the Logitech software which made me not able to pick blocks but still scroll. Also considering that it is a new issue that only applies to this update and not previous updates (I have gone back to check) I have strong reason to believe it has something to do with Minecraft itself.
Cannot reproduce myself. This is likely an issue with your mouse, the middle mouse button may be too sensitive, which is causing it to scroll when middle clicking.

I had the same problem. I've found the cause and solution. The scroll left and right function on the G502 causes you to scroll through your hotbar while holding down the middle mouse button if not held down perfectly straight. So disabling the scroll left and right feature in the logitech software fixed the problem.
[media]Yup turning that off worked, weird that it was only going a certain way no matter how I was pressing the button but tysm for the fix
I also own this mouse, as soon as I update to 1.20.6 from 1.20.1 I started experiencing this issue.
At first I though an issue with the scroll sensitivity but I discover that the left and right buttons on the scroll wheel cycle the hotbar in the corresponding directions.
I assumed new key binds were made in the update but upon further investigation the minecraft control keybind config can't recognize these buttons.
Although it might be an issue with this specific mouse, something in minecraft clearly has changed.
I can't reproduce.
