What I expected to happen was...:
Minecraft would maximize to full screen
What actually happened was...:
Most of the time it would either quit minecraft or turn off my computer
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open minecraft
2. once at menu, maximize
3. it will either maximize or crash
I don't know if it is only me, or other people.

I have been seeing this too, and it's an entire system crash requiring a power cycle to fix.
It happens about 1 time in 15 when I maximise. I wondered if it might be a temperature-related problem on my iMac. I also see maximising the MC window causing corrupt screen data first time (about 60% of the time), then working ok if you kill the game then restart it from the same launcher session. I'm not even trying to run full-screen at present even though I'd prefer to. I'm on MacOS 10.5.8, so I'm mainly grateful to be able to play again at all 🙂 I can play Minecraft in a maximised window, but sometimes it takes 2-3 consecutive tries before it works. I /can't/ play full-screen.
