Mobs slow down when hit and sometimes pause before attacking again

mobs slow down and sometimes pause when being hit, also they can get really close to the player and just not hit them even if the player is in range, this has been a big for a few years now that I think needs to be fixed

This makes mobs way to easy, the cooldown of weapons is negligable with this involved, and it was worse before the cooldown was added

this problem is especially worsened from the fact players can get sop much more powerful than they used to, so you've buffed the player with netherite, enchantments, totems of undying, sprinting, beds etc, but mobs aren't faster (apart from certain rare ones) and their AI is nerfed?

it would be cool if the mob pausing was due to getting critted with an axe, but it's not.

compare the old alpha spider (which didn't have this issue) to the modern spider (applies to all mobs) in this short video I put together highlighting the issues

btw I already made a bug report but it didn't have enough information and didn't have a clip like this and someone commented, I just thought it would be easier to make a new oneΒ
