Reproduction steps:
Download the latest versions of Waterfall and Purpur server cores.
Start them and join Server A.
Enter any message in Server A's chat.
Then switch from Server A to Server B, and the chat history will be cleared.

We're tracking this issue in MC-267983, so this ticket is being resolved and linked as a duplicate.
That ticket has already been resolved as working as intended, which means this is not considered a bug and won't be fixed. Please do not leave a comment on the linked ticket.
