Villager trading issue; no new trades

Most trades have been fine, however, There is a librarian villager that I traded with while another librarian was having his inventory changed. The second librarian I traded with had not ever traded before, so only had one offer, which was to buy paper for one gem. I had a lot of paper on me at the time, so I maxed out the trade. However, upon reentering trade with the second librarian, the paper was not able to be traded, and no new trades were available. I really want to kill the villager, but I am no murderer...
