The wolf armor does has a durability, but the piece of armor cannot be enchanted with unbreaking, mending and the different curses, which is really odd, and its kind-of inconsistent.
And by the way, if you plan to make the armor enchantable, don't forget the enchantment glint on the armor which could look very cool
