Im having the same glitch as well...is your world your in an old world and you see pigmen at chunks that are halfway loaded in without swords? Ive seen this before when minecraft updated to 1.5.2. Not sure about 1.6.x but heres a screenshot of this... Take a look, its not NBTedited but spawned naturally in the edge of my nether chunk the last time I loaded it. Good luck solving this 🙂
