Hand animates weirdly when item is removed from it

If you remove an item from the selected hotbar slot in the inventory, your hand will appear immediately but still animate as though to remove the item. This should look the same as switching to a different slot, where the item disappears and then the hand appears; in this instance the item is swapped out with the hand too early. This is especially noticable when holding a map in the main hand and another item in the off‐hand as the player's hand suddenly snaps towards the center of the screen before animating.
