In my 1.20.4 world I have never struggled with mob drops, but playing that same world on 1.20.5, I can no longer get anything from a mob, whether it hostile or not, I can't get leather, raw beef, wool, raw mutton, feathers, raw chicken, shulker shells, ender pearls, blaze rods, you name it. I can't get unbreaking books from villagers because I have no books/leather so I can't get those on my elytra.

Please tell us exactly what data packs you use, and whether they're updated to 1.20.5. Please upload any data packs you made yourself here.
Note that data packs made for 1.20.4 or earlier are likely to not work or cause issues.
@violine1101 I use several datapacks that I had to update, I just finished doing that, I don't know just yet if that helped the mob drops but ima check. update, no mob drops :\ Edit 2: when I shear a sheep then kill it it does drop mutton, but only that sheared sheep
Once again, we need to know exactly what the data packs are and what they do.
Edit: Please note that all vanilla tweaks data packs are not updated to 1.20.5, so please disable those for the moment.

and those are it
Some of these are resource packs, not data packs, and I don't see how the data packs you listed could cause this issue. In your world, can you run /datapack list and attach a screenshot of the result of that command to this bug report? (If the world has cheats disabled you may need to open to LAN temporarily to execute the command.) Thanks!
