Sharpness doesnt work on axes after converting a 1.20.6 world

So i converted my world from 1.20.6 and... sharpness on axes isnt working!

What I expected to happen was...:

The axes should deal more damage with sharpness

What actually happened was...:

Nothing happens to the damage dealt

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Enchant an axe with sharpness
Or: Convert an older world to 1.21 Pre-2
Or: Find a sharpness axe from a chest etc.
