Randomly in my survival world I get "server lag" ex: Block lag, animals not moving, etc.

What I expected to happen was...:
The game to run smoothly with no problems

What actually happened was...:
After a while I would break blocks and they wouldn't appear. And it's happening on single player.

Steps to Reproduce:
There's no step by step process to have it appear, you just need to wait a while for it to happen.
