Description: When running Minecraft under the Wayland display server, the Input Method Editor (IME) fails to activate upon launch. This issue prevents players from typing Chinese or other languages that require IME support within the game.
Steps to Reproduce:
Launch Minecraft.
Attempt to switch to a Chinese input method.
Observe that the IME does not respond.
Expected Result: After switching to the Chinese input method, the user should be able to type Chinese characters normally.
Actual Result: After switching to the Chinese input method, the game does not display the IME candidate window, and Chinese characters cannot be inputted.
Log Files: None. If more information is required to assist with the diagnosis, I will do my best to provide any additional details needed.
Additional Information:
This issue does not occur in the Xorg environment.
Restarting Minecraft and the Wayland session did not resolve the issue.

You're using a modded game and launcher. Does this also happen with the vanilla launcher and game?

I could not reproduce this in a vanilla environment (Ubuntu 22.04 with Wayland).
If you can reproduce the issue in a vanilla environment, please recreate the issue.
Any non-standard client/server/launcher build needs to be taken up with the appropriate team, not Mojang.
A world which had previously been opened with a modified client might be corrupted. Please try reproducing the issue in a newly generated world.
Any plugin issues need to be addressed to the creator of the plugin or resource pack.
If you have problems on large servers like Hypixel, please contact them first as they run modified server software.
