[MC-27422] 2 bugs spawn point and weird earth cutaway

I have noticed two bugs. 1. in almost every world i spawn in ,except super flat, there is a long straight rectangle with a wall going straight filled with water like it was cut into the world, and 2. for some reason after i went into the nether my compass was pointing toward a different spawn point where i didn't spawn.

Please force a crash by pressing F3 + C for 10 seconds while ingame and attach the crash report ([minecraft|http://hopper.minecraft.net/help/finding-minecraft-data-folder]/crash-reports/crash-<DATE>-client.txt) here.
