Returning from the End through the end portal uses a charge on a Respawn Anchor

When returning from the End through the end portal that appears after defeating the Ender Dragon, a charge is deducted from your respawn anchor.

What I expected to happen was...:

Returning from the End does not consume a respawn anchor charge, as it has not in previous Minecraft versions. The community-led Minecraft wiki also affirms this behavior: "Returning through an end portal is not counted as a respawn against the charges." (https://minecraft.fandom.com/wiki/Respawn_Anchor)

What actually happened was...:

Returning from the End through the portal (without dying) consumed a respawn anchor charge.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Place a respawn anchor in the Nether and charge it at least once

2. Set your spawn to the anchor by right-clicking it

3. Go to the End dimension

4. Defeat the Ender Dragon if necessary for the portal to appear

5. Enter the End portal to return from the End to the Nether

6. Observe that a charge was deducted from the respawn anchor.
