Player.dat of one player got resettet when server was terminated (power loss, hard reset)

Anything logged in the server.log ?

Nope. The only thing I know is that we had yesterday (before the reset) a problem with connecting:
The players on the server could build and play. I wantet to rejoin and i could not log in (others too). I restartet the server but no improvement. On clientside we had one time an error message with java. something with http. never seen before.

on server side I only have got this logs (logging problems, trying to restart twice, and when the player noticed the empty inventory.) In this order.

There is "server stopped" missing - did it crash or loss of power ?

I think it crashed. Its hard to say exactly what happened, because the server is not on my PC, I bought a server.

Time ago I've lost a complete world due a power loss, there were chunks unloadable and so on (but luckily doing daily backups)...

I've had my character data reset twice in the span of two hours on the server I like to play on just recently, and would like to know the fix for this, if you found one.
