Steps to reproduce:
Create a book and write text in it: the numbers “1” and “2” separated by line breaks (each number on a new line).
Place the book in a chest.
Copy the data of the chest using the key combination F3 + I (it gives a command with parameters to get a copy of the chest).
Set up a new chest using the generated command.
Open the book in the copied chest.
Actual result: The text in the book has been changed: the line break has disappeared and the numbers “1” and “2” have merged into “12”.
Expected result: The contents of the book should remain unchanged after copying the chest, including preserving all line breaks and text formatting.
Can confirm.
