The Bug:
Closed captions don't function correctly and are delayed in multiplayer worlds.
Steps to Reproduce:
Get two players and label them "Player A" and "Player B".
Ensure that both players have closed captions enabled in their accessbility settings.
Get "Player A" to create a world and open it to LAN and have "Player B" join them.
Get "Player A" to place a block in front of "Player B" every two seconds.
Have "Player B" look at the closed captions overlay and observe if the closed captions are delayed.
Observed Behavior:
Closed captions don't function correctly and are delayed in multiplayer worlds.
Expected Behavior:
Closed captions would function correctly and would not be delayed in multiplayer worlds.
I am able to reproduce the reported behavior. It was introduced in 24w19a, presumably alongside the fix of MC-267981. This issue is not limited to Multiplayer, but can also be reproduced in Singleplayer.
