The volume level between grass and dirt is inconsistent

The Bug:

The volume level between grass and dirt is inconsistent.

Because the sound of all grass-type blocks were lowered, this makes the volume when mining grass and dirt abruptly change which is an annoying inconvenience for players.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Break some grass blocks and then some dirt blocks.

  2. Observe the volume of the grass blocks being broken compared to the dirt blocks.

Observed Behavior:

The volume level between grass and dirt is inconsistent.

Expected Behavior:

The volume level between grass and dirt would be more consistent.

can confirm this in 1.21.5 pre-release 3, this also affects hay bales as well. feels like this was a result of lowering volume of breaking sounds for grass + other plants but it led to other blocks being affected that shouldn’t have (grass and hay bales)

to clarify i meant grass blocks when referring to blocks, and short grass when referring to the plant.

additionally, firefly bushes seem disproportionately loud when compared to other plants, although that could probably be classified as a separate issue.

It does that to me too, it's stressful, this bug need to be corrected

I noticed this too. Not normal.
