Sheep are unable to eat & re-grow their wool if the plant (short grass, short dry grass, tall dry grass, ferns), when placed on mud or farmland.
How to reproduce:
1. Create a pen where the floor is made of mud/farmland
Cover said block with a plant that sheep can eat
Spawn multiple sheep and shear them (visual purpose only)
Run /tick sprint 1d
Observe the lack of eating
Suspected Cause:
Sheep eating is based on what block the very bottom of the hitbox. Since farmland and mud is not a full block, the game is checking the block where the mud/farmland is rather then space above it.
Fixing bug caution: Adjusting the 2D plane of the sheep hitbox where it detects for grass to eat could break eating regular grass blocks, along with existing wool farms. So a 3D volumetric check should be used instead.

Side note:
I tried my best to verify that this bug report isn’t a duplicate, however this new bug report website is riddled with missing features and bugs making it very hard (most filters are gone, labels are gone, older bug reports are flat out missing, search bar is only capable of 1 word searches, etc.). Hope this is just growing pains from migration to be sorted out. I wish the best of luck to the moderators who hopefully don’t have the same experience as a front end user.
