When a lot of XP orbs are orbiting around my avatar, their are displayed differently in the two third-person views. In the "rear" view, the orb always looks round, regardless of the view angle. The the "front" view however, the orbs look like as if they were displayed on a vertical plane and they will disappear if the avatar is looked from top or bottom (the attached picture show them from 45 deg).

13.png is a back view from above (orbs are appear round)
19.png is a front view from 45deg (orbs are not round).
Although the XP orbs are flat, you can always see them from above in first person view or "third-person rear view" (e.g. 13.png above). The problem I'm reporting is that the "front view" looks bogus (the other two pictures). In other words, the XP orbs cannot be seen as "flat" from any other view than the "front view".
I wasn't complaining about the orbs not being absorbed: they are absorbed, but it is slow because there are too many of them here (I killed 200+ zombies at once with a splash potion).
Ok, reopened, link removed.
But it's fact that all 2D items are rendered as flat sprites. See the two screenshots of a monster egg. when seen from above you'll just see it's shadow, the item itself is invisble.
One fix can be found in MC-5404, which is likely caused by the same bug as this is.
Resolving to MC-5404.
XP orbs and other items are always flat sprites, not 3D bodies. When viewd exactly from above, those items will be invisible.
But the primary issue here is of course that the XP orbs are not absorbed by your player -> Therefore resolved as duplicate.
