Lag happens when I use redstone lamp lighting i use a loop to turn it off and on repetitively but it only happens when the redstone current stops and shuts off.

I have experienced this as well, on a circular, lighthouse-like lamp setup. Lag only occurs when the lamps turn off - not when they turn on.
