Mobs don't drop items they pick up in multiplayer

When the player dies and a mob, such as a zombie picks up my items, it keeps MOST of the items it picks up when it's killed. This is a big issue when the player has expensive items, such as enchanted armor or tools. It appeared to only drop the visual item you could see it wearing.
