Error while playing online

What does "Internal exception: java.net.SocketException: Connection reset by peer: socket write error" mean when the server has been reached, but looses connection.

I wrote a comment about having the same problem. It started happening two days ago after everything went down for a while.

Can you please attach the lastest crash report ( .minecraft/crash-reports/crash-xxxx.txt) ?

No, that's what's odd...
Minecraft doesn't save crash reports on that kinds of errors

When this error happens, it just shows one of those screenshots and then quits to the title screen.

Is this still a concern in the current Minecraft version? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases.

Thanks for the update.

I have found that the K9 web protection Software is causing havoc with playing online. After 2 months of experiencing several versions of Internal Exceptions and looking for answers it was identified as this program as the culprit. After un-installing K9 the connection was stable again. I have contacted K9 and they have suggested using the public version 4.3.188 which I have installed and is working fine with Minecraft Multiplayer. Also If the web site s3.amazonaws.com is not added to the web site exceptions page to allow updates will be blocked..
