For some reason on the new launcher for 1.6.2 it won't let me join multiplayer servers on a Mac computers. It only lets me run it on the only one windows computer we have and it's not a very good one. Every time i try to join a server it says logging in and then it comes up with this:
Connection Lost
Internal exception: java.net.SocketTimeoutException: Read time out
I have no idea what to do i have tried re-installing minecraft, downloading other things to help it, and i have restarted the modem and nothing works I really need help with this.

This is a technical support issue; this site is for bug reports only. For technical support please use the Mojang Support Center.
That's because you used a version that isn't even yet available.
Don't use future versions.
