Baby Villagers can be named

I have read that Villagers aren't intended to be named.

Where did you read that ?

First, I found out that Villagers can't be named through gameplay, then I searched for it and found it had already been reported* and a mod commented that villagers weren't supposed to be named. so I went back to the game. I still had a name tag in my hand and accidently clicked on a baby Villager. So there. *MC-14841

Quoting myself:

And the issue is that baby Villagers CAN be named.

Yes this is working as intended. The real bug is: adult villagers cannot be renamed. But this is already implemented in MC-14525.
