Signs with glowing letters "blackens" all non-blocks and block entities

When applying a Glow Ink Sac to a written sign, every block entity and non-block becomes “blackened”.

This issue will persist as long as there’s no nearby entities, as otherwise everything will render as normal.

Also somewhat related: Non-blocks and block entities in general occasionally flicker to “black” at random, may be epileptic.

1.) Place a sign In an area full of similar blocks
2.) Write text on the sign
3.) Apply a Glow Ink Sac to the sign
4.) *All surrounding non-blocks and block entities, as well as the sign itself, should be rendered "black"
5.) Remove the offending sign to revert to normal

*If other entities are within the player's viewing range (not necessarily visible), and as long as both the player and the entity are close by, then everything will render "normal"
**Item entities are affected by the "blacken" but not mobs or mounts

Can confirm. Here are some pictures with the F3 debug screen enabled. It seems to be solved in 1.21.6 Pre-release 1, though. I haven’t tested whether this bug exists in snapshots after 1.21.5.

If this issue has already been resolved in 1.21.6 Pre-release 1, could you verify that this is no longer present in the 1.21.6 release?
