Mace does not work when using elytra, but if you use a wind charge, swap to your elytra, then right before you hit the ground while flying with an elytra swap to your chestplate and hit someone with a mace, it will instantly kill/pop their totem. For context, a normal mace hit like this would do 6.5 hearts (this is assuming protection 4 netherite armor). I believe that the fall distance includes elytra descent time, but I find it wrong that a 0.5 block fall after going off of an elytra that doesnβt even work with mace should cause so much damage.
Environment
There is no needed conditions to perform this, and it is well known in the community. It affects many PvP scenarios, particularly the strategies fittingly called "elytra mace" and "rocket mace".

I guess that when you swap your elytra for chestplate. The height registered will be additional to the wind burst and the elytras time in air. Hence increasing the maces effect
