It affects every minecraft version, because the stairs, if you think about, are 3/4 of a block, so if 3 blocks divided by 4 are 12 pieces of 8x8 blocks, and 4 stairs represent the exact same 12 pieces of 8x8 blocks, when you use 6 blocks to make stairs, it should give 8 stairs and not half of it 😐
