First launch is ok, subsequent launches display the Whoops! screen

  • On Tuxedo OS 24.04 download the debian installer

  • Install the deb

  • Launch Minecraft Launcher, everything is fine and everything is downloaded correctly

  • Play the game for as long as you want

  • Here is the faulty part (I guess) ; quit the game, either by using alt+f4 or from the ingame menu

  • Now, if you try to launch the Minecraft launcher again, it fails and display the error message: β€œWhoops! An unexpected issue occured; we are sorry for the inconvenience. Please try restarting your launcher.”

The only temporary fix is to delete everything except the saves folder, and redownload everything, every single time.

Additionnaly, I see in the log that:

It baffles me that this app cannot survive a single close action.

I’m attaching the log (zipped, because there are a log of repeated lines).

Would you know how to fix that permanently?

Environment

TUXEDO OS (based on Ubuntu, itself based on Debian) 24.04
Java openjdk 21.0.7 2025-04-15
