When view bobbing is enabled, the player's camera and held objects will have animations depending on the player movement. However, when crouching over the side of a half slab to place another block, if you hold S or D while trying to right click on the bottom half of the slab, you’ll see that the block doesn’t become selected. This is probably due to hitbox targeting from the camera’s perspective not being taken into account for view bobbing.
Steps to reproduce the issue
Note: This works in any Minecraft world as far as I’m aware, but for this demonstration I have provided Screenshots to go along with this.
Create a test platform as shown in Test_Platform.png
Use an Anvil and a pair of boots (any) and combine it with a Swift Sneak III book. (This will amplify the effect I’m trying to show)
Climb to the top of the platform, and crouch over the hanging edge while holding S and D. When you hover over the bottom half of the slab you will be unable to select it. (as shown in Bug_In_Action.png)
Expected result
The bottom of the slab should be selectable, as the crosshair is clearly over it.
Actual result
The bottom of the slab is not selectable, and instead selects the block behind it in your view.

Can confirm this may be an ancient bug, it’s present in version 1.0 even without Swift Sneak III.
