So, when I was creating a superflat world and then tried to join my game mysteriously crashed, restarting the game and opening it again then trying to load the world a second time crashed it again, a third time, it worked. but for some reason there were three bonus chests?
Reproduction steps:
Set world type to Superflat.
Use these layers
2*minecraft:oak_log
2*minecraft:dirt
15*minecraft:stone
2*minecraft:iron_ore
2*minecraft:diamond_ore
1*minecraft:bedrock
Make sure that structures are turned on and bonus chest is on.
set world seed to 16777216.
If the game crashes, you’ve done it right, but if it doesn’t crash and you did it correctly, then it’s a problem with my computer.
Also there can be multiple bonus chests for some reason.

I wasn’t able to reproduce the crash, but given that it happened three times in a row for you, this is an interesting crash to investigate.
Would it be possible for you to attach the crash reports? They should be in the folder
%APPDATA%/.minecraft/crash-reports(assuming you are on windows) and have the date/time of the time of the crash in the title.If there is no crash reports a video/screenshots of what it shows after the crash would be helpful as well.
