Efficiency tool-swap mining glitch

I’ve observed this behavior since at least version 1.21.6 pre-1, though it may have existed earlier. When breaking a block (e.g., dirt) with a tool lacking the Efficiency enchantment, if you rapidly switch to an Efficiency-enchanted tool and back before the block breaks, the block breaks as if mined with the enchanted tool - significantly faster than intended.
