This bug affects tooltips, loading screens, and popups where text appears on top of another when using TTF fonts in resource packs. Normally, text behind a popup/tooltip is covered with its texture and the text itself, but using TTF fonts as the default UI font results in text overlapping each other and being displayed above the tooltip/popup texture.
This bug occurs in both vanilla and modded Minecraft.
