Steps to reproduce the issue
Create a Hardcore world and fall into powder snow.
Expected result
The freezing vignette appears, the FOV decreases, the hearts turn into freezing hearts, and the player begins to shake and take damage.
Actual result
Nothing happens.
Also visible is the untinted grass block top (MC-278789)

Nope, and I don’t have any mods either. I’m not sure what’s happening then. I tested it in other worlds and it worked fine. Here’s the seed and the coords, if that was causing it maybe? 😕
