End Crystal floats in air when obsidian below is broken

Description:
If you place an End Crystal on top of obsidian, then break the obsidian, the crystal remains floating in the air, instead of being destroyed or falling.
This behavior feels unintentional and breaks immersion, especially in custom maps or multiplayer servers.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Place an obsidian block.

  2. Place an End Crystal on top.

  3. Break the obsidian block from underneath.

  4. ❗ The crystal stays floating in mid-air.

Expected Result:
The End Crystal should break (like in older versions) or fall like other entities.

Tested on:

  • Minecraft Java Edition 1.21.7

  • Singleplayer and Multiplayer

Environment

Windows 11 Pro
