Elytra landing

When I land after using an elytra, I glide on the ground. I’m good at landing, but it’s causing me to glide while on the ground when I should’ve stopped then end up taking damage when it stops the ground gliding. (might as well call it sliding) It’s messing with my FPS as well, but FPS regains shortly after finish the landing is no longer gliding on the ground. I’ve tried everything I can think of and what others have suggested, but nothing is helping/working. I tried reducing settings in OptiFine, going to vanilla and reducing the settings on there as well, changing the RAM from 2G to 4 and even 8G, tried Iris and just now tried OptiFabric with low settings as well. Nothing is working. The server I’m playing on checked their end and it showed everything fine on their end, the distance between server location and where I’m at isn’t a problem either, so clearly it’s client-side. I saw someone else had a similar issue, but it’s from a outdated versions and I haven’t died from it yet, the ticket was for versions 1.14.4-1.18.2. (other person's outdated ticket) I’ve ran out of ideas on how to try to fix it, so here I am. Any suggestions?

@Zyak Cleric I encountered this issue in two fairly consistent cases, one is when the minecraft server crashes/shows inconsistent connection, and another when the server is running on hardware that has an inconsistent write speed when generating/loading new chunks.

In both cases i found server performance to be inconsistent. I would suggest trying to run a local server with 1.21.7, and see if you can reproduce the issue, also try a single player world with the same (should be fairly easy spawning in with creative mode and giving yourself the items you need)

See if that either resolves the issue, or you are able to reproduce the issue. if not, then its likely the server as the issue, or a network related issue.

Starting a new world did the same thing, but when I created a localhost it seemed to fixed the problem. I checked on the localhost a few times then tried it on the server I was having the issues on, the problem appears to be gone on both. Thank you sooooo much. I think I’m going to bookmark this page for further reference even once it’s closed, unless the page gets removed, because I wont remember this.

Please provide a video of the issue occurring with your F3 screen open.
Additionally, clear steps to reproduce this issue consistently is necessary towards understanding why this may have happened.
