Back in 1.8, woodtype variants for fences were added, which included Spruce Fences. Swamp huts (formerly known as Witch huts) use Spruce Planks and Oak Logs as their base building blocks because their dark colors fit with the atmosphere of Swamp biomes, whereas Oak Planks, with their light color, wouldn’t fit. Back in 1.4.2, when Witch huts were added, Spruce Fences didn’t exist, which is why they used Oak Fences (back then they were only known as “Fences” due to the lack of woodtype variants). Nowadays, they still use Oak Fences, despite Spruce Fences existing for a long time, which compromises the dark, gloomy atmosphere intended for Swamp huts.
Environment
How to reproduce:
Go to any seed in creative mode with cheats enabled;
Type '/locate swamp_hut' in the chat;
Click the given coordinates to teleport to the location;
Analyze the structure.
Expected results:
The Swamp hut utilizes Spruce Fences.
Actual results:
The Swamp huts utilizse Oak Fences.
