After the color system overhaul in 1.12, most dyed blocks were updated to new color values, but dye items retained their original pre-1.12 colors. This inconsistency remains even after the dye texture refresh in snapshot 25w31a, causing a visual mismatch between dyes and the blocks they color in crafting recipes.
How to Reproduce:
1. Obtain any dye item (e.g. yellow, blue, cyan, purple, magenta)
2. Craft a dyed block (e.g. wool, terracotta, concrete powder)
3. Compare the dye color with the resulting block color
Observed Result:
- Dye items display brighter, more saturated colors (pre-1.12 palette)
- Dyed blocks show muted, slightly different hues (post-1.12 color system)
Expected Result:
Dye item textures should match their corresponding block colors in the current color system for visual consistency.
