Nether portal lighting desync in some circumstances

As the title says.

A possible way to reproduce this:

  1. Create a world in creative with seed -8463475174272090025

  2. Teleport to nether with /execute in the_nether run tp 29999959 7 2411242

  3. Light a portal /setblock ~ ~ ~ minecraft:nether_portal

  4. The first portal in the overworld is almost certainly lit, but destroy it, so a new portal can be generated

  5. Teleport back to the nether with /execute in the_nether run tp 29999959 7 2411242

  6. You get immediately teleported back to the overworld, and there’s a good chance the portal appears to emit no light, or have cut-off light around chunk borders. If you don’t see it, repeat step 5

  7. Notice it does not correct itself with F3+A, but only with a world rejoin (or teleporting away and back)

Environment

Debian 12, Xfce4
