Copper golem when interacting with double chest, only updates the blocks surrounding the part of the chest its interacting with

As shown in the video, when I open a double chest, it updates the blocks surrounding the double chests on both sides, which activates both copper bulbs. This is what is intended when a copper golem interacts with the chest, however there is a bug with the copper golem where it only updates the side of the chest its on. For example if it interacts with the right portion of the chest, only the blocks surrounding the right portion of the chest get updated, and so only the copper bulbs on the right get activated. This is not specific to trapped chests and copper bulbs, this also includes other Redstone related block updates such as comparators reading the amount of items in the chest. This makes item sorters with the copper golem very difficult to make, and fixing this bug would greatly help build item sorters with it.https://youtu.be/7H18hfOkBc4
