After exiting the Nether portal, the nether ambience loop still plays

This only occurs in survival mode. I tried toggling the ambient sounds via settings, but the sounds still played. When I exited my world, the sounds stopped playing.

I am not sure if this bug existed in the previous snapshot, though I highly doubt it.
