Putting bush in water makes no sound and does not drop item

If you take a firefly bush and put it in water, it makes a sound and drops the item, if you take a regular bush and put it in water it simply disintegrates, i was only running one mod, which was WorldEdit, and has no reason to make this happen so i don’t believe it’s that.
