Repeatedly switching between fullscreen and windowed mode makes game window thinner on certain Linux distros

When repeatedly switching between windowed mode and full screen on some Linux distributions, the game window sometimes gets thinner when going back to windowed mode. The window gets progressively thinner after multiple iterations. I’m not sure if this is a bug with the game or the system. I am running a fresh install of Ubuntu 25.04 with no major alterations or changes to configuration.

I have attached a video showcasing the issue. It should be noted that at 0:06 in the video, the game did not manage to properly enter full screen, leaving a black bar at the bottom. I don't know if this is another bug, but this sometimes happens. Also in the video there are green artifacts when resizing, but these only appear in the video recording and not in real life.

I would like to add that I am using the official debian package along with the official launcher.

Environment

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 2700X
GPU: GTX 1070 with driver 575.64.03 (proprietary, tested)
OS: Ubuntu 25.04 using Wayland

I am open to include more information, although I can't think of any other more relevant environment off the top of my head. I'm new to Linux so maybe I'm missing something obvious.
