When placing a cornflower in vanilla Minecraft 1.21.8 on a server, the flower does not decrement from the player’s inventory. The flower remains in the inventory even after being successfully placed in the world, allowing seemingly infinite placement. This does not occur with solid blocks, and I have not tested it with other flowers or plants or on singleplayer.
Steps to Reproduce:
Launch Minecraft Java Edition 1.21.8 on a server.
Ensure no plugins affect block placement mechanics.
Obtain at least one cornflower in your inventory.
Place the cornflower on a valid block.
Observe that the cornflower may remain in your inventory while also being successfully placed in the world, allowing repeated placement from a single item.

However, this issue is Invalid.
Your game, launcher or server is modified.
If you can reproduce the issue in a vanilla environment, please recreate the issue.
Any non-standard client/server/launcher build needs to be taken up with the appropriate team, not Mojang.
A world which had previously been opened with a modified client might be corrupted. Please try reproducing the issue in a newly generated world.
Any plugin issues need to be addressed to the creator of the plugin or resource pack.
If you have problems on large servers like Hypixel, please contact them first as they run modified server software.
