Strange behavior when placing copper chests with different oxidation levels or waxed status

Copper chest loses oxidation level when it becomes a double chest:

If you have a fully oxidized copper chest (green) and place a regular copper chest (orange) next to it, they will combine to form an orange double chest. The same happens if you previously placed an orange copper chest and then place a green one next to it; it will also become an orange double chest. The double chest will therefore always take on the oxidation status of the least oxidized chest.

Copper chest loses waxed status when it becomes double chest:

If the chest is waxed and placed next to an unwaxed chest, it will lose its waxed status and become a regular copper chest. The same happens if you place an unwaxed chest next to a waxed one. This will also cause the chest to lose its waxed status.

Possible solution:

Chests can only be connected if they are of the same type. For example, a normal chest cannot be connected to a trapped chest.
