[MC-302649] The /give command does not give items to players with a full inventory

In 1.21.9 & 1.21.10 When your inventory is full and you run the give command in survival it no longer drops the item in front of you. Instead you don’t receive the item at all

Fill your inventory and run the give command, nothing is given.

Does this still happen on the latest snapshot? and if so, do you have any repro steps for this?

This seems to work as expected if I have an inventory full of wooden swords and then to /give @s minecraft:wooden_sword.

Just tested it on the latest snapshot, i filled my main 36 inventory slots with boats then /give @s diamond and it drops it in front of me again 🙂
